Dried Rabbitfish in sour soup ( Sinigang na Danggit )

                                     Sinigang na Danggit 

                                        ( Dried Rabbitfish in Sour Soup )



Ingredient:

100g           Danggit ( Dried Rabbitfish)

1/4 cup       Slice Tomato

1/4 cup       Slice Onion

1 cup          Slice Gabi ( Taro )

1 cup          Slice Labanos ( Radish )

100g          Mustasa ( Mustard Greens )

200g           Tamarind paste ( Sampaloc )

50g             Slice Leeks

3pcs          Siling pang sigang ( Green pepper )

100g           Patis ( Fish Sauce )





Procedure:


1.  Prepare vegetables wash and slice them, if you don't have tamarind paste you can use tamarind fruit and boil them. get a fork and press the fruit so the pulp will go out and strain the fruit pulp and seeds out.

2. Heat the pot and put a little oil so we can saute the tomato and onions first before we add the taro ( gabi ) after you add the taro vegetables put 3 cups of water and boil it until taro is soft. get a fork and press half of the taro so the soup will become a little bit thick.

3. then add the Radish ( labanos ) , green pepper  let it simmer until the radish is half cooked  and next add the fish sauce , pepper  to taste. let it simmer  for 1 minutes and add the tamarind paste  simmer for 1 minute and add mustard greens ( mustasa ) simmer for 1 minute last add the dried Rabbitfish ( danngit ) then remove from fire and serve.


Note : Put danggit or Rabbitfish before you turn off the fire and serve so the fish will not be over cooked.
